Hello! I’m really glad you’ve come to this page so I can tell you a bit about myself. Mostly I illustrate picture books. Here’s a list -  This is called a Brag Sheet.

I was born in Essex, England, went to live in Australia for ten years and then returned, this time to live and work in Cambridge. Evidence shows me scribbling happily since I could first hold a pencil, lying under the dining-room table creating endless epic horse adventures. Nowadays  I generally sit at a desk – but sometimes I draw the view looking down from something very tall, or sitting on a train or out for a coffee. Children are frequently the subjects for my skecthes and this year, 2025, I won the Orange Beak Shirley Hughes Sketchbook Award. I have stacks of sketchbooks packed with drawings, plane tickets, receipts and food wrappers with interesting type on them, jumbled between jotted down snatches of conversation.  All this stuff is very handy for my multi-media illustrations. I make most stuff by hand and then use a computer to put all the bits together. My latest sketches, projects and discoveries can be found (sometimes on my blog) and always on Instagram.
