Hello! I’m really glad you’ve come to this page so I can tell you a bit about myself.
I was born in Essex, England and have been scribbling away since I could first hold a pencil. I began by lying on the dining-room carpet and drawing endless epic horse adventures. Now I generally work sat at a desk – but sometimes I draw when up something very tall, sitting on a train or out with friends. I like collecting stuff and have shelf-fulls of sketchbooks not just of drawings but also things with funny type on like plane tickets, receipts and food wrappers all jumbled between jotted down bits of conversation. These bits and bobs come in very handy for my multi-media illustrations and are often to be found on Instagram
Please take a look around and discover some of my illustrations for books, maps, magazines and websites. Check out my SCBWI and ASA children’s book sites, my IA listing and Online Shop. There are lots of Classroom Resources below and this nifty step-by-step ‘How To Do’ printmaking feature in The Guardian newspaper
