The Newcastle East End map started as a walking tour and then grew to be a menu guide, a mural, a t-shirt, a gin label, coasters, mugs and earrings.

The original map has symbols and a key to lead visitors on 5 separate journies.

"..I draw a plan of where all the streets are, and then I photocopy that so it's small enough to fit in my hand ... and then I go out with a sketchbook and my camera and just explore those streets."
