I am often asked to create illustrated maps to aid communities tell their stories, show journies, express hopes and share secrets . Drawings, rather than words, describe content, which is great for those whose first language is not English.

A map is a bird's eye view. It looks down and it sees round corners. Can it say what might happen next? It certainly gets you out and about.

City of Newcastle and University of Newcastle NSW commissioned 'as much as you can draw' of the growing suburbs of Hamilton North, Tighes Hill, Maryville, Mayfield and Carrington. The maps was developed into an interactive game and tool for public consultation on changing land use and housing development.
